Metallurgical Coal

Metallurgical coal or coking coal is a grade of coal that can be used to produce good-quality coke. Coke is an essential fuel and reactant in the blast furnace process for primary steelmaking. The demand for metallurgical coal is highly coupled to the demand for steel. Primary steelmaking companies often have a division that produces coal for coking, to ensure a stable and low-cost supply.

Non-Coking Coal/Thermal Coal

Non-Coking Coal does not have any caking properties and it is mainly used as thermal coal for power generation. It has a higher ash content and also used in industries like sponge making, cement, fertilizer, glass, ceramic, paper, chemical and brick manufacturing.

Coke

Coke is a grey, hard, and porous coal-based fuel with high carbon content and few impurities, made by heating coal or oil in the absence of air—a destructive distillation process. It is an important industrial product, used mainly in iron ore smelting, but also as a fuel in stoves and forges when air pollution is a concern.

Iron Ore & Pellets

Iron Ore is the raw material used to make pig iron, which is one of the main raw materials to make steel, 98% of the mined iron ore is used to make steel. It is a combination of minerals from which metallic iron can be extracted on an economic basis.
